Terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and the company that makes Torque. They say what you can expect from Torque, what Torque expects from you, and what happens with the services you connect. The privacy page covers your data in detail.
Who you are agreeing with
Torque is made by The Luna Project, Denmark. Write to contact@torque-fitness.com about anything on this page.
What Torque is
Torque is an iPhone app that builds a cycling training plan around the days and hours you have, reads the rides you finish, and adjusts the plan. It is a training tool, not medical advice.
Your health and safety
- Check with a doctor before you start training hard, especially if you have a heart condition, are returning from illness or injury, or are unsure whether hard exercise is safe for you.
- Stop riding and get help if you feel chest pain, faintness, unusual shortness of breath or anything else that worries you.
- Ride within the law and your own judgement. Torque does not know the road, the weather or how you feel on the day. You decide whether and how to ride a session.
- Readiness, fatigue, FTP and other figures are estimates from your data. They can be wrong.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to use Torque.
- Keep the email address you sign in with secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account → Delete account. Everything in it is deleted, as the privacy page describes.
The subscription
- Every feature is free for the first 14 days. No card is needed to start, and nothing is charged unless you subscribe.
- After that, Torque costs USD 9.99 a month or USD 79.99 a year (or the price the App Store shows in your country). The subscription is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s terms.
- It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel at any time in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions; it then runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If the price changes, you are told in advance, and Apple asks for your agreement where the law requires it.
Services you connect
You can connect services such as Strava, Hammerhead, Wahoo, Polar, Garmin and Apple Health. When you do:
- You allow Torque to read the data that service shares, and, where you choose it, to send data to it (for example a planned session to your Garmin device or an indoor ride to Strava).
- That service’s own terms and privacy policy still apply to what it holds. Those companies are not party to these terms and are not responsible for Torque.
- Data from a connected service is provided as that service sends it. Torque cannot promise it is complete or correct, and is not responsible when a service changes, limits or stops its connection.
- You can disconnect a service at any time in Profile → Connections. What happens to its data is described on the privacy page.
AI analysis
If you turn on AI analysis, the short notes after your rides and the changes made from notes you write to your plan are written by an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude). The notes can contain mistakes. Your plan itself is built by fixed coaching rules. You can turn AI analysis off at any time in Profile → Account → AI analysis.
What you agree not to do
- Use Torque for anything unlawful, or use someone else’s account or data without their permission.
- Copy, resell or redistribute Torque, its content, or data you receive through it from connected services.
- Reverse engineer the app or its services, or try to get around their security, limits or access controls.
- Use Torque or the data in it to build a competing product, or to train machine learning models.
- Overload or disrupt the service, for example with automated requests.
What belongs to whom
Your rides and the data you add are yours. You allow Torque to store and process them to run the app for you, as the privacy page describes, and nothing more. The app, its design, text and code belong to The Luna Project. Strava, Hammerhead, Wahoo, Polar, Garmin, Zwift and Apple Health are trademarks of their owners.
What Torque can and cannot promise
- We work to keep Torque running and your data safe, but we cannot promise the app will always be available or free of errors.
- Torque is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for injury or loss that comes from how you choose to ride.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Torque and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we tell you why unless the law prevents it. If we ever stop offering Torque, we tell you in advance and you can export your data first.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top moves. If a change matters to you, you are told in the app before it takes effect.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Danish law. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the consumer law of your own country, and you can bring a claim in your own courts. Write to us first at contact@torque-fitness.com; most things can be put right that way.
